nivtec Standard 200 × 100 cm: from stage sketch to proposal

Identify the 12 mm Standard platform and plan modules, supports, access and show loads before choosing a stage configuration.

Identification and use

This guide covers nivtec’s Standard 200 × 100 cm platform with a 12 mm plywood panel. The manufacturer separately identifies a 9 mm Indoor version; dimensions alone do not identify the construction or use conditions.

The 2026 manufacturer scheme X0501.042 lists system platform 200 × 100 cm as reference 111 01 0. Match the label and supplied specification before ordering a replacement or completing a bill of materials.

Components and variants

Platform
200 × 100 cm; 12 mm multiplex plywood panel in the Standard description. Panel thickness is not finished stage height.
Connections and supports
Tongue-and-groove edges with Klick-Klack locks. Legs, bases, bracing, protection and access belong to the documented assembly.
Different variant
The system page distinguishes the 9 mm Indoor panel from the 12 mm Standard construction. Do not transfer exposure or load claims between them.
Instructions
Edition 1.0–2026, Part II for the 200 × 100 cm grid; additional setup schemes and bracing documentation apply to the selected structure.

Plan the show

For a conference sketch, compare a simple rectangular platform with another footprint that preserves circulation and the speakers’ route. Six nominal 2 × 1 m modules can form a 4 × 3 m panel rectangle; this geometric example does not define legs, permissible loads or access.

We can assess platform sourcing, a documented support layout, installation and audiovisual coordination. For a show with dancing, rolling equipment or heavy point loads, define those activities before selecting the support system and technical-review scope.

External manufacturer example: nivtec describes a BMW presentation in Moscow using acrylic platforms. It illustrates how a launch can combine display and presentation, but concerns a different platform variant. For your proposal, compare the visual aim with the exact product, support and load documentation before choosing a system.

Preparation before use

  1. Identify the Standard reference, panel construction, locks and condition of every supplied module.
  2. Define usable stage area, finished height, load positions, access and the supporting floor or ground.
  3. Obtain the applicable layout and component schedule, including legs, bracing, rails and connections; do not infer a support count from the deck count.
  4. Have competent installers follow the exact instructions and complete the project checks before opening. For outdoor use, resolve weather protection and operating conditions in advance.

Questions and solutions

How many modules does my sketch need?

Start with the desired working area and where people and equipment must move. A grid count gives panel geometry, not the total installation footprint: access, protection, waiting space and circulation add requirements. We can compare a simpler rectangular arrangement with the requested outline before finalizing the material list.

Does the 4-2-2-1 principle mean every stage needs fewer legs?

It is a manufacturer setup principle tied to platform orientation, connection and the exact documented layout. It is not permission to remove supports from an existing stage. Height, base type and use can change the required parts and bracing; request the complete scheme rather than applying a percentage saving.

Can we put a piano, a rolling rack or dancers on it?

Record weights, contact points, positions, motion and rhythmical activity. The manual treats high point loads and rhythmic loads as cases requiring additional system-specific rules. A catalogue area-load figure does not settle those cases. If the proposed assembly is undocumented, compare an alternative position or a separately documented support solution before use.

Can the Standard platform stay outside?

The 2026 instructions limit outdoor use to short periods and require protection from direct sunlight and moisture, with prompt drying if damp. The panel is water-resistant, not waterproof or weatherproof. Ground support, drainage and the event weather plan remain separate decisions. Do not apply these statements to the 9 mm Indoor version.

What if a lock will not close or another brand seems to fit?

Keep the area unloaded and out of use. Compare identity, tongue-and-groove orientation, edge condition, debris and the support layout with the exact instructions. Do not force, drill or bridge the connection. The manual does not permit combining the nivtec system with other staging systems; visual fit does not establish compatibility.

Do certificates or catalogue dimensions complete the quote?

No. They are evidence for their stated configuration and scope. European certification does not automatically approve a Florida installation. Start an inquiry with date, venue, activity and an approximate size; we can develop sourcing, layout and installation options, then confirm the actual references, project review, access and availability.

How do we change from a panel to a product launch?

List what changes: occupied furniture, displayed product, contact points, movement, video and lighting. Compare a fixed speaking platform with a separate documented display area before assuming the same stage serves both. We can quote a layout comparison and a technical review of the proposed assembly. A manufacturer’s vehicle presentation using acrylic platforms does not document vehicle loads on this 12 mm plywood Standard platform.

How can we compare a basic quote with a more complete show package?

Ask for separately identified scopes: platforms and documented supports; installation, protection and access; then audiovisual equipment, rehearsal and show assistance. Both options must include everything necessary for their intended safe use. We can compare simpler geometry or fewer scene changes, rather than reducing required supports or protection to meet a budget.
