Chauvet Professional Maverick Storm 2 Profile

Configure the original Maverick Storm 2 Profile: DMX modes, networking, movement blackout, PWM and firmware checks.

Ask GLMedia about renting Chauvet Professional Maverick Storm 2 Profile for your event. Availability and configuration are subject to confirmation.

Moving profile with CMY/CTO mixing, framing blades and optical effects for illumination and projected shapes. This guide covers the original model; connections and conditions for the M version require separate verification.

Prepare your rental inquiry

Specify equipment only or whether setup, programming, operation and strike are also needed. Scope is confirmed in the proposal.

You do not need a final equipment list: tell us the result you want and the part you need help with. Availability and scope are confirmed in the proposal.

Features and connections

Combines 4 blades, rotating and static gobos, iris, prism and frost. The console profile must match the selected personality.

Receives DMX through XLR connectors with 5 pins, W-DMX, or Art-Net and sACN over Ethernet. The battery-backed display allows menu setup without AC; it does not power the LED source.

Prepare the system

  1. Check the label and grounded, protected circuit without dimmer control. For overhead use, fit 2 Omega brackets and at least 2 mounting points with suitable clamps and a safety cable; release locks before movement.
  2. Choose Settings > Control Mode and Personality. Set a nonoverlapping start in Address: the last complete start is 481 for 32 channels or 465 for 48 channels.
  3. For Ethernet, check IP, mask and universe in Network Setup. Art-Net displays universes from 000; sACN from 001. Record settings and test Loss of Data with the area clear.

Questions and troubleshooting

Does it go dark or appear to shake during movement?

Distinguish programmed behavior from a mechanical problem.

  1. Check BL. O. P/T Move and blackout options for color and gobo changes; these can turn off output during those changes.
  2. Check the profile and Virtual shaking. Test fixed position, dimmer and shutter without effects, with Control in a no-function range.
  3. Compare Channel Information with console output. Stop use for motor errors or abnormal noise; do not change offsets to hide a fault.
Is the network connected but the fixture unresponsive?

Physical link and correct universe are separate checks.

  1. Confirm ArtNet or sACN in Control Mode and matching console and fixture personalities.
  2. Check subnet and unique IP. Manual sets a custom IP; DHCP requires a server; Static uses the product’s default address.
  3. Compare universe numbering and DMX address. Test a single known source before combining signals.
Is there flicker or banding on camera?

There is no universal setting for every camera.

  1. Record PWM, dimmer, frame rate and shutter. Compare a fixed look and change one variable at a time outside the show.
  2. Official V1.250627 notes identify a flicker fix at 4000 Hz. Check installed firmware before concluding there is a hardware fault.
  3. For TV25 or TV35, the manual requires PWM at 6000 Hz or 15000 Hz to avoid harmonization noise. Check camera and actual output; do not update firmware without a test window.

Terms on this page

DMX
A data protocol controlling lighting functions; each model defines what its channels mean.
PWM
Modulation of LED output; interaction with a camera may produce recorded bands or variations.
Personality
A control mode defining the channels and functions used by a fixture.
Shutter
A fixture function opening or closing light output; distinct from the camera shutter.
