Broadweigh BW-S325: identify measurement and communication

Prepare load monitoring with defined sensors and reception without treating a reading as structural approval.

Identification and application

The selected reference is BW-S325 Generation 3 in the Broadweigh wireless system. It differs from BB-S325 Bluetooth and wired BD-S325. Identify sensor, receiver, software and version in the proposal rather than selecting by a generic radio range.

We can assess monitoring equipment, logging preparation and assistance as agreed. Describe points to observe, date, venue and purpose: records, monitoring or alerts. The designer defines what needs measuring and the response to that information.

Prepare the proposal

  1. Link each sensor ID to the drawing point, units and location in the load path. Retain bow and pin as the identified calibrated pair; do not interchange parts to complete an assembly.
  2. Before use, document battery state, receiver, communications, version and applicable zero settings. Record who checks the data and the procedure for loss of measurement.
  3. Retain change records and findings. If readings vary, distinguish physical load changes from reception or configuration issues; assessment and action belong to the responsible team.

Questions and alternatives

Does no data on the display mean zero load?

No. Identify missing reception or stale data and follow the responsible plan rather than continuing a movement on an assumption of no load. Report sensor, time, receiver and observed indications.

Should I zero an unexpected reading away?

Not to hide an unknown condition. Retain the value and adjustment history and request verification of zero reference, units, installation and actual load under the manual. This guide does not propose taring a load to release it for use.

Does a longer radio range remove the need for site checks?

No. Reception is verified with the actual system and conditions. We can compare documented receiver and layout options without promising coverage from a catalog maximum.

Does measurement prove structural approval?

No. Measurement complements calculation, inspection and the operating plan. Identify which part of the load path is measured and which limits and responsible parties apply to the complete design.
