Projection guide

Lamp and laser projectors

Ask GLMedia about rental options for event projection. We review availability, configuration, and alternatives for your event.

Planning criteria

With the date, location, and intended use, we can review which equipment and combination can be offered. You can inquire before measurements, drawings, or the final schedule are ready.

Lamp and laser describe light sources, not guaranteed room performance. Compare model, condition, brightness method and mode, lens, native resolution, and content.

Assess existing equipment through identification and a representative test. We can plan that review before retaining the path or comparing an alternative.

System decisions

Condition
Record usage, indicators, and known history. A counter alone does not establish current brightness or remaining life.
Operating mode
Compare the mode to be used: quieter or lower-power modes may change brightness. Do not equate mode names across manufacturers.
Maintenance and connection
Identify lamp, filter, and service where applicable. Check inputs and adapters for the actual source too.

What to share

Share model, regional identification, warnings, and lamp or service history where known. Do not fill unknown details by assumption.

Describe screen, light, and content. We can define a sample for performance and connection checks.

Preparing the comparison

  1. Check identification and indicators in the exact manual. Preserve observations and previous settings.
  2. Check ventilation and external condition without opening service areas. Review model-specific authorized maintenance.
  3. Test picture and sound in the planned mode and room light. Compare readability and stability, not just the counter.
  4. Before lamp replacement or filter cleaning, check exact part, procedure, cooling, and specified service. Do not apply lamp procedures to a laser module.
  5. Test source, adapters, and formats on older equipment. If a compatible input is missing, review the whole path before adding conversion.

Three technical questions

Does laser mean no maintenance?

Check filters, ventilation, and model instructions. A light-source description is not a promise of no service or guaranteed operating hours.

Do counter hours show remaining brightness?

They do not replace condition and performance checks. Record known lamp or service history; compare a sample under planned lighting and mode.

Should I immediately replace the lamp after a shutdown?

Record messages, indicators, and elapsed time. Consult the exact table before choosing a part or intervention; one symptom does not prove one cause.

Installation and limits

Do not open housing or laser modules or look into the beam. Use specified service for internal faults.

Do not select parts or power supplies by appearance. Keep identification, procedure, and post-service checks.

Sources and context

Official model-specific documentation. Check variant, accessories, and conditions before applying settings or calculations.
