Projection guide
Basic projector setup, step by step
Ask GLMedia about rental options for event projection. We review availability, configuration, and alternatives for your event.
Planning criteria
With the date, location, and intended use, we can review which equipment and combination can be offered. You can inquire before measurements, drawings, or the final schedule are ready.
Preparation covers the full path: file, computer, connection, projector, screen, and audio. A visible desktop is only an initial check.
Start with the model and a space photo. If screen or source choices remain open, we can identify pending decisions.
System decisions
- Placement
- Use the distance table and supported orientation. Check mount, ventilation, and beam path before powering on.
- Signal
- Connect the actual source and select its input. Choose a format supported by every stage, including adapters or converters.
- Picture and sound
- Separate optical adjustments, geometry, light mode, and audio. Review results with actual content.
What to share
Prepare projector and lens identification, computer, adapters, presentation, and videos.
Identify screen width and height, planned lighting, and audio destination. We can help complete the plan.
Preparing the comparison
- Check model, accessories, and placement in the exact manual. Preserve usable settings before changes.
- Power on as documented and select the connected input. Enable the computer’s external display.
- Confirm compatible resolution, frame rate, and aspect ratio; decide whether the desktop should be duplicated or extended.
- Adjust position, zoom, and lens shift only where available. Use the documented focus control: 1795F uses buttons; LU935ST has a focus ring.
- Review geometry, borders, and light mode, then check readability from critical seats.
- Rehearse the full presentation, video, changes, and audio. Record how to resume using the backup source.
Three technical questions
Can I follow the same menus on every projector?
Names and features vary. Identify the required operation and check the model; do not transfer menus or optical controls from another variant.
Should I set keystone before positioning the projector?
Check compatible placement and optics first. Apply supported correction where needed, then review focus, usable area, and readability.
Is a visible desktop enough to prove the system?
Test the complete file with video and audio. Check transitions, format, and recovery; a desktop does not reproduce all those conditions.
Checks to guide decisions
| Symptom | Check | What it helps distinguish |
|---|---|---|
| No picture | Input, external output, and connection. | Source or link. |
| Image outside screen | Position, aspect ratio, and optics. | Placement and format. |
| Video without sound | Audio output and actual path. | Audio. |
Installation and limits
Keep beam and ventilation clear. Check stability and cabling in the actual installation.
Record warning patterns and consult the manual. Do not use reset or firmware updates as a generic first step.
