LED rental planning guide
1.5 mm LED totem rental options
Ask GLMedia about 1.5 mm LED totems for booths, reception areas, and exhibits. We review close viewing, content, and configuration for your event.
What we can help plan
Share the event date, location, and intended use so we can review options, availability, and configuration. You can contact us before dimensions, drawings, or final content are ready.
A totem can display branding, schedules, or products while using less width than a main screen. We first distinguish a standalone poster from a column built with LED cabinets: format, support, transport, and control differ.
Nominal pixel pitch helps compare options but does not identify a complete system. Close viewing also depends on the pixel matrix, text size, contrast, and ambient light.
Choosing the system
- Image
- We request the active image area and native pixel matrix to prepare content that fits the display. Portrait orientation alone does not define the file aspect ratio.
- Playback
- We choose between content stored on the system and a live feed according to the inputs and player of the proposed variant.
- Location
- We review audience circulation, base, power, and service access alongside the booth design.
What you can share
Send a photo or an idea of the space and a content sample. If dimensions are still unknown, we can start with the intended use and message.
Moving the proposal forward
- Define what viewers need to read and where they will stand.
- Confirm the model, pixel matrix, support, and playback method before producing final files.
- Compare a sample with text and logos under the intended lighting.
- If cameras will be used, test the display at the planned frame rate, shutter setting, and operating brightness.
Technical questions and show decisions
Does a finer pitch guarantee that any text will be readable?
We compare readability using the actual content and viewing distance. We can adjust text size, contrast, and duration or evaluate a larger image area.
Can a standalone totem and a modular column use the same file?
We review the pixel matrix and active area of each configuration. A dedicated version can prevent cropping or margins that reduce usable image space.
Can several totems be synchronized?
That depends on the control system and variants. Repeating files, displaying a continuous image, and synchronizing live feeds require different arrangements; the proposal should include the appropriate signal path.
Should I use a 1.5 mm totem or a larger display for a product or demo?
For a brief portrait piece, compare the logo, product image, and message within the totem’s active area. To read a full interface, show a landscape presentation, or address a group, evaluate the same sample on a larger display or adapt the composition. Assess fine pixel pitch alongside the physical size of the detail and audience positions.
Ask about equipment with prepared content and playback, or add a live feed and operation if the variant and signal path support it. Define what changes during the demo and who controls it, check inputs and the player, and test a sample before finalizing the file. The proposal specifies the configuration and services needed for that use.
Useful checks
| What you notice | What to check | What it helps determine |
|---|---|---|
| Hard-to-read text | Sample, text size, contrast, and light. | Adjust content or compare a different image area. |
| Cropped image | Pixel matrix, orientation, and player scaling. | Fit the canvas without losing information. |
| Camera banding | Camera and screen under actual conditions. | Evaluate compatible settings and the result. |
Installation and operating conditions
LED encapsulation does not replace model-specific transport, protection, and service requirements. We coordinate packing and handling for the event.
The base, stability, and power supply are reviewed for the actual equipment and venue. Brightness or protection on one side alone does not establish outdoor suitability.
Choose for the message and viewing time
For a schedule or product viewed up close, prepare a sample with the smallest text you actually need. We can review readability and compare the active image area before choosing equipment.
For people walking past the display, test brief messages and the time needed to read them. We can shape the content for that situation so viewers can take in the intended information.
Compare variants using an identified reference
The current PAD LINK 2.0 page identifies COB technology for its P1.5 variant. This helps specify the exact variant; it does not make every totem marketed as 1.5 mm equivalent.
To compare proposals, we collect the full name, revision, pixel matrix, image area, and playback system. We also review whether support and packing are included in the offered assembly.
From an idea to a test file
Send a logo, slide, or reference image. We can define a sample canvas with text, product imagery, and usable space before producing the complete sequence.
Before the event, test startup, playback, and content recovery with the proposed equipment. The loading method and connection requirements are confirmed for its player.
Sources and context
These sources describe specific product families and variants. Features of a reference example do not automatically apply to a quoted system; we review the documentation for the proposed configuration.
