Fontainebleau Las Vegas: loading, floors and AV services
FONTAINEBLEAU-LAS-VEGAS identifies the complex at 2777 S Las Vegas Boulevard. It is separate from Fontainebleau Miami Beach. The Conference Center and BleauLive Theater have their own routes and conditions. This guide does not establish bookings, permits or work performed by GLMedia.
Which space and document revision must be established?
Establish the contracted room, subdivision, level and layout. The contractor policies file 03022026, Bleau Book file 07062026 and Theater Tech Pack labeled 2024 linked by the official page were reviewed. File dates do not establish the revision applicable to the contract.
BleauLive has a separate technical package. Do not apply ballroom floor ratings or freight elevators to the theater. Ceiling height is not approved trim: current CAD, points, WLL and accepted combined loads remain open.
What may outside production provide, and what is reserved to Encore?
Policies and Bleau Book distinguish Encore as the preferred provider for general sessions, trade shows and social events from exclusive services: breakout/meeting-room AV and labor, rigging including floor-supported towers, power, banners and other listed services.
Freedom to choose producers, directors and designers does not release those tasks. Proposed equipment and labor require prior Encore approval. Confirm responsibilities, interfaces, available power and connectors; a published exclusive scope does not establish availability or design acceptance.
How are docks, elevators and route protection coordinated?
Policies describes six shared event docks and required vertical access. Arrange truck holding offsite; appointments start at the booked time and do not guarantee exclusive elevator use. An Encore Facility Supervisor is required for load-in and load-out.
Forklifts are permitted for unloading at the dock, not in the Conference Center or service corridors. Manual/electric pallet jacks are limited to authorized areas. Protect routes and carpeting before move-in; non-marking tires and protection do not increase floor capacity.
The policies elevator table omits the unit in its load column. Confirm nameplate, cab, door and rating before using those values. The Theater Tech Pack explicitly labels TF1 at 15,000 lb but also lists an 8 ft clearance from dock to stage. No single figure authorizes the move.
Which floor loads are published, and what cannot be inferred?
Policies p. 10 publishes live loads by level. These are planning references, not approvals for concentrated, dynamic or wheel loads. Request support, distribution and route review; the manual mentioning load spreading does not approve a particular plate.
No Freight Access on intermediate levels does not mean zero structural capacity or authorize a different route. The BleauLive Tech Pack requests that floor limits be obtained separately; ballroom values are not applied.
| Space / source | Published reference | Reading limit |
|---|---|---|
| Level 2: Waterbleau Terrace and Moonstone, Policies p. 10 | 100 psf live load. | Verify the exact area, supports and route. |
| Levels 4 and 6, Policies p. 10 | 200 psf live load. | Not a wheel or rigging-point rating. |
| Levels 2M and 3, Policies p. 10 | No Freight Access. | Do not infer capacity or another route. |
| BleauLive, Tech Pack p. 15 | Floor limits on request. | Do not transfer Conference Center values. |
Which submissions have different deadlines?
The table preserves the policies’ reference dates. The Event Manager also provides the Bleau Prints schedule; confirm how it forms part of the contract. Assistance requests, submissions and permits are separate steps.
Dock bookings must contain complete information three business days before the appointment. Staff lists use arrival as the reference. COI submission does not establish acceptance; insurance, training and hazard documentation are reviewed under the contract. Plans go to Encore and the Event Manager before authority submission.
| Submission / source | Published lead time | Reference and scope |
|---|---|---|
| Production schedule, Policies p. 11 | 90 days. | Before load-in starts; includes rehearsals, show and electrical work. |
| Effects, Policies p. 15 | 90 days. | Before the event; coordination and testing to confirm. |
| Drawing assistance, Policies p. 13 | 60 days. | Service lead time; confirm the reference date. |
| Approved drawings, Policies p. 13 | 7 days. | Before the show; copy to Encore and Event Manager. |
| COI, Policies p. 16 | 14 calendar days. | Before the event; Risk Management review. |
| Lead/logistics, Policies p. 4 | 30 days. | Before arrival; loading schedule and responsible contact. |
| Staff list, Policies p. 4 | 3 business days. | Before arrival; daily credentials. |
Is included Wi-Fi sufficient for streaming and technical operations?
Bleau Book limits complimentary Wi-Fi to browsing and email. Enhanced service for registration, presentations, streaming and other applications is purchased exclusively through Encore. Its trade-show section also reserves network service and labor.
As a technical recommendation, agree on sustained upload, wired service, devices, VLANs, priorities and an end-to-end rehearsal. These are project requirements to confirm, not included features or permission to deploy a customer network.
What review is required for haze, lasers, flame and pyrotechnics?
Current policies require advance coordination of theatrical smoke, pyrotechnics and lasers with the Event Manager and Encore. They describe water-based haze, fire watch during rehearsals/performances and a prior Fire Marshal test for applicable effects; this is not blanket permission.
Confirm the product, use, crew, test, insurance and specific permits with the hotel and authority. Do not adopt older versions as current or alter alarms yourself. Keep exits, signage and devices clear. Clark County Fire Prevention reviews plans and inspects; no application was initiated.
What remains to be accepted before installation is finalized?
Acceptance of CAD/WLL, support loads, verified route and nameplates, power/network, crew, changes, contract, insurance and permits remains open. For the theater, obtain an updated Tech Pack and crew/package quote; its published rates are not adopted as current.
Separate hotel decisions, Encore review, the organizer’s contract and public authorization. Dock, network or AV terms do not certify engineering. This guide prepares review documentation without ordering services.
Frequently asked questions
Does a dock appointment include exclusive elevator use?
No. Policies states that a dock booking does not guarantee elevator exclusivity. Coordinate both resources and verify the route, doors, nameplates and supervision.
Can the 200 psf value be used for a tower, wheel or motor?
No. It is a floor live-load reference for the listed levels. It does not establish a point load, ceiling rating or accepted distribution; the project requires specific review.
Does the manual automatically authorize haze or pyrotechnics?
No. It describes coordination, testing and crew. Each effect needs hotel acceptance and applicable permits; it does not authorize interference with fire systems.
