Start with the program and operating roles

You can start with an event description even without a final program or equipment list. Gather these details to review operation:

• Program and content: what will be seen or heard, when and by whom.
• Roles and coordination: who operates each system, who gives cues and how they communicate.
• Rehearsal and continuity: signals and content to review, identified copies and the planned alternative.

Agree on cues and plan rehearsal using the actual content and destinations. If a difference appears during the event, record the affected system and coordinate the next step with its operator; do not change firmware, networking or power as part of an improvised test.
