StageRight ME-1000: AS, AT and bridging-deck checks

Identify the ME-1000 support variant and locator layout before placing decks; distinguish height selection, leveling and ground conditions.

Identify the platform

Ask GLMedia about rental options for your event. The proposal is subject to availability, confirmation of the model and configuration, and the venue’s technical requirements.

ME-1000 is a support system, not a deck. ME-1000AS is Arena Style; ME-1000AT is All Terrain. The manufacturer distinguishes level environments from uneven terrain. Neither label establishes a permitted ground condition or approval for an outdoor event.

What the published specifications cover

Understructure
Horizontal and diagonal braces with Snap-Lock hooks.
Deck interface
Locator assemblies position the specified StageRight decks.
Height and level
Height selection uses faspins; screw feet provide fine leveling secured by jam nuts.

Decks, locators and supports must be documented as one assembly. Do not assign a complete-stage rating from a support name, a deck footprint or a report of a piano being rolled across another installation.

Deck, supports and accessories

Identify AS or AT, part numbers, the supplied locators and deck references. Choose guardrails, stairs, ramps and transport equipment separately. The AS and AT instructions are not interchangeable locator procedures.

Prepare the configuration

  1. Mark supported and bridged bays, perimeter edges and intended deck orientation on the supplier’s layout. Resolve unidentified components before assembly.
  2. The cited AS and AT manuals specify at least 2 people for assembly. Use the correct variant manual. With the area unloaded, check brace hooks, faspins, jam nuts and each deck’s full seating.
  3. Record floor or ground conditions and required access. Arrange the applicable inspection before use; do not adjust occupied staging.

Three technical questions

A deck will not sit fully on its locators. What should I check?

Keep the bay unloaded. Compare deck identity, orientation, locator type and support position with the correct AS/AT drawing. Check for debris or damage without modifying parts. Do not force, drill or shim the connection; have an unresolved mismatch identified before use.

Can an All Terrain support make any grass or slope acceptable?

No. ME-1000AT describes a support variant. Bearing conditions, settlement, layout, exposure and access still require project review. Screw-foot travel does not prove ground capacity. Stop if a support sinks or moves; do not use loose improvised packing as a generic remedy.

Can I remove supports because one column can locate several deck corners?

Only the documented bridging arrangement defines where supports and locators belong. Trace supported and bridged bays against the supplier’s drawing and the correct manual. Do not extrapolate from an isolated corner or from another stage size. Missing support documentation means the affected bay remains out of use.

Before anyone uses the stage

Keep clear of pinch points and preserve warning labels. Replace damaged components with the specified genuine parts through the responsible supplier. An engaged locator does not prove a permitted concentrated load, wind condition or pit-filler attachment.
