StageRight FR-2403: folding, height selection and positive locks
Identify the FR-2403 variant and check its locks before using this folding riser.
Identify the platform
Ask GLMedia about rental options for your event. The proposal is subject to availability, confirmation of the model and configuration, and the venue’s technical requirements.
A folding riser with reversible decks. Confirm the part number, surface and fixed or dual-height version; the model name alone does not settle the finish.
What the published specifications cover
- Deck sizes
- 4 × 8 ft or 6 × 8 ft.
- Connections
- Mechanical locks, fasteners and adjoining-unit connectors. Folding, height selection and deck reversal are separate operations.
Use the rating for the identified assembly and load pattern. A caster rating does not establish stage capacity or permission to move an occupied riser.
Deck, supports and accessories
Specify the matching frame, deck, height hardware, connectors and required access and edge protection.
Prepare the configuration
- Before opening the riser, confirm whether it is fixed-height or dual-height and identify the finish on each face. Plan the desired working height and surface before deployment.
- Keep the assembly unloaded and the folding path clear.
- For a dual-height version, follow the manual in transport/storage position: engage every pin and button, with adjustable legs and center supports in matching positions.
- Confirm the locks engage before use or transport; keep hands clear of pinch points.
Three technical questions
The deck does not latch open. Can it be used?
No. Keep it out of service. Check identification, visible obstruction and alignment; have the mechanism assessed using the matching manual. Do not bypass the latch.
Can I change height with the deck open?
The documented dual-height adjustment uses transport/storage position. Do not improvise an open or loaded adjustment. Verify every pin, button and support afterward.
After the documented adjustment, compare every adjustable leg and center support with the same height setting shown in the manual. A partly engaged pin or button means the unit stays out of use; do not test the setting by loading it.
Does folding reverse the deck surface?
Reversal requires the specified deck fasteners to be removed and refitted as instructed. Folding alone does not perform that work. Before handover, verify the chosen face, all required fasteners and the open-position lock.
Before anyone uses the stage
Inspect fasteners and damaged components before use. Do not steam-clean carpet. Use the prescribed replacement parts and maintenance procedure.
