Doughty T58100: clamp, fixture attachment and secondary retention

Prepare an inquiry for a Lightweight Half Coupler with an identified fixture and tube.

Identification and application

T58100 is the polished Lightweight Half Coupler; T58101 is the black finish. It is not the Super Lightweight reference or a clamp with every accessory included.

References for your inquiry

Tube and fixing
48–51 mm diameter; provision for M10 or M12 fixings per the data sheet. Identify the fixture attachment.
Manual
Lightweight Half Couplers & Hook Clamps, Revision 13. Distinguishes lifting and static WLL.

Prepare the information

  1. Record fixture model and weight with accessories, and its approved attachment point.
  2. Identify tube diameter, material, finish and support, plus orientation and load direction.
  3. Request references for clamp, hardware and secondary retention required by the fixture and design; inspect before use.

Questions and alternatives

Does the clamp rating approve the entire suspension?

No. Read the product sheet and manual together: the current revision distinguishes lifting and static cases. The tube, its support, fixture connection and load direction form an assembly to verify. Do not select the highest figure without the applicable case.

Is M10 or M12 enough to order a bolt?

It does not define length, grade, nut or fit with the fixture. Confirm documented fixture and clamp attachments; the fixing must not contact the tube when tightened. Do not transfer a torque from another connection.

Can it be mounted sideways to save space?

Loads parallel to the tube and arrangements creating torsion have specific limitations in the manual. Record orientation and distance to the load point for competent review. Straight-pull WLL does not authorize another direction.

Does the clamp replace the fixture’s safety bond?

It does not define the fixture’s secondary retention. Identify the manufacturer’s intended point and the retention system required for the installation. We can assess both supplies; do not select retention by resemblance or attach it to an undocumented point.

What if it slips or is damaged?

Arrange unloading and isolation with the installation supervisor. Do not test by increasing torque with the fixture suspended. Keep references and visible condition for inspection; damaged parts remain out of service and repairs require authorized personnel.

What alternatives can we quote?

A documented clamp and fixing for the tube and fixture, another equipment position or a different identified support. We can separate hardware, retention and preparation or installation scopes. Photos and approximate measurements help start; the system must be accepted before loading.
