Lighting and control
Dell Latitude Series — lighting control
Plan the laptop as part of the lighting control system. The Latitude Series reference still has its model and configuration to confirm; software, the show file and intended interfaces must be reviewed for the event.
Identification and scope
- Manufacturer or brand
- Dell
- Equipment name
- Dell Latitude Series — lighting control
- Location
- Ask about availability and location
- Supply for the event
- Ask about options for the planned date and scope

You can start with the scenes you want to control, the date and the location even if you have not chosen the computer or finalized the show file yet. We will review the configuration and supply options.
Information to prepare this item
- Laptop model and resources, operating system, control software and show file version.
- Intended interfaces and control path, required outputs and system component documentation.
Identify the computer, software and interfaces
Record the laptop model and generation, its resources, the operating system and control software version. Gather the application requirements and the documentation for the proposed interfaces to review the assembly.
Keep the computer, application and output equipment documentation separate from the fixture documentation. DMX modes and profiles relate to the lighting fixtures and show patch; this page does not assign a DMX personality or universe count to the laptop.
Plan the show and its control path
| Point | What to record | How to proceed |
|---|---|---|
| Computer and application | Model, resources, versions and application requirements | Review the configuration and software usage conditions |
| Interfaces and path | Output equipment, connections and intended destinations | Confirm the path and outputs supported by the proposed configuration |
| Show and continuity | File version, patch, scenes, copies and operating access | Agree on preparation, rehearsal and the continuity alternative within the scope |
Prepare the check with an identified show copy and the path intended for the event. Record the observed state and the section where a discrepancy appears before changing parameters; this page does not instruct software, driver or network updates during the show.
