Prepare your rental inquiry

Specify equipment only or whether setup, programming, operation and strike are also needed. Scope is confirmed in the proposal.

You do not need a final equipment list: tell us the result you want and the part you need help with. Availability and scope are confirmed in the proposal.

Features and connections

PARs combine RGB+UV, derbies project RGB beams and the strip provides RGB color and effects. The remote’s Laser button has no function on this model.

Provides DMX through 3-pin XLR and ILS, D-Fi, RF and footswitch options depending on configuration. Footswitch and RF remote pair separately; neither pairing creates a DMX patch.

Prepare the system

  1. Confirm nameplate and revision. Published consumption is 47 W at 120 V, 60 Hz and 45 W at 230 V, 50 Hz. Use grounded power without a dimmer; check circuit and regional limits before linking power.
  2. Set the tripod on level ground away from traffic, with legs spread and load balanced. Secure the bar and adjustment knob; verify capacity before adding accessories. Overhead mounting requires secondary retention and qualified personnel.
  3. Under DMX > DMX select personality; under DMX > Address set the start and confirm with ENTER. Match the console profile and reserve channels. Do not connect a standalone/master bar to a console-controlled line.

Questions and troubleshooting

Does the console trigger programs instead of individual effects?

02CH selects programs and speed/sensitivity rather than individual colors.

  1. Match bar and console mode. Select the desired control level before programming scenes.
  2. 21CH groups PARs and derbies and provides strip effects; 132CH separates units and controls 37 RGB strip cells. Cells and physical LED counts differ.
  3. Test a fixed color in each section without strobe or programs; inspect address and footprint if sections are missing.
Does the footswitch fail or operate another bar?

COMMON and BIND define which footswitch the system accepts.

  1. Power on the footswitch and check its 9 V battery. For an isolated test, select an AUTO program and disconnect the console line.
  2. Under SETUP > FOOT select BIND. Open Binding FOOT and hold pedal 4 until SUCCESS appears.
  3. Check Black Out with a safe light-emission area. COMMON may accept other footswitches; BIND requires the paired pedal unit.
Does the remote behave incorrectly or leave the bar dark?

Check Black Out and RF pairing separately from the footswitch.

  1. Black Out keeps lights off; the manual states that other remote inputs are blocked until it is canceled. Prepare for light before pressing it.
  2. Under SETUP > RF check OFF, COMMON or BIND. Pair through Binding RF and hold BLACK OUT until SUCCESS as specified for the compatible remote.
  3. With ILS or D-Fi, verify role, channel and hardware revision. Keep a wired patch as an independent test; do not connect USB accessories based on another GigBAR.

Quick reference

Calculation for a 512-channel universe: last start = 512 − channels + 1. Check that revision’s menu limits.
