Prepare your rental inquiry
- Date, city, venue and setup, event and pickup schedule.
- Intended use, area dimensions and equipment already supplied by the venue or production.
- Space dimensions, desired effect and preferred control method.
- Stands, footswitch, remotes and transmitters: confirm kit contents and optional accessories.
Specify equipment only or whether setup, programming, operation and strike are also needed. Scope is confirmed in the proposal.
You do not need a final equipment list: tell us the result you want and the part you need help with. Availability and scope are confirmed in the proposal.
Features and connections
3Ch provides shared RGB; 5Ch adds dimmer and strobe; 15Ch provides per-pod RGB and programs. Mechanical aiming does not mean DMX movement.
The official repository lists V4.01a for serials 0424001111 and above, and V4.01b for 0424001110 and below. Both change D-Fi detection; check serial before choosing a file.
Prepare the system
- Use grounded 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz power without a dimmer. Published consumption: 47 W at 120 V, 60 Hz and 45 W at 230 V, 50 Hz.
- Secure tripod stability, fasteners and aiming before power-up. Overhead installation requires load-rated mounting and secondary retention by qualified personnel.
- Select 3Ch, 5Ch or 15Ch, press ENTER, set address and confirm. Match console profile and do not share the line with a standalone master.
Questions and troubleshooting
Does the console change the whole bar together?
Per-pod control requires 15Ch and a matching profile.
- In 15Ch keep channel 1 at 000–009 to avoid programs and raise dimmer on 2.
- Test the first pod’s RGB on 4–6, then subsequent groups. Strobe/speed on 3 changes function with the program channel.
- If programs still run, inspect mode and patch before editing scenes or updating firmware.
Does plugging in D-Fi disable the cable or remote?
The manual gives the D-Fi USB dongle priority.
- Save settings and remove it for an independent wired DMX test. Do not connect generic USB accessories to the control port.
- For D-Fi match accessory channel and TX/RX as well as personality and address. Wireless channel and DMX address have different purposes.
- For ILS select iLS1–4 and check a compatible transmitter; do not treat it as an individual console patch by analogy.
Does BTAir miss the bar or the footswitch fail?
Bluetooth, footswitch and IRC-6 need separate checks.
- Select bLE and match the displayed ID to the unit selected in BTAir; inspect device permissions and connection without deleting show configuration.
- For the footswitch, check power, 9 V battery, local program and SEt > ir as specified in the manual. Check Blackout in a safe area.
- If only one control path fails, keep another tested path for recovery. Record version and serial before updating; do not install another serial branch.
Quick reference
| Mode | Channels | Calculated last start |
|---|---|---|
| 3Ch | 3 | 510 |
| 5Ch | 5 | 508 |
| 15Ch | 15 | 498 |
Precautions
- Dry indoor use only; maximum 40 °C with 50 cm ventilation clearance. No rain or direct eye exposure.
- Wireless range depends on conditions. Prepare a local fixed color or tested wired control for link loss.
- Prepare updates outside show operation using the correct serial-specific file and official procedure. Firmware support does not make the port a charger.
