What it is and when it helps
DCNM-WD is a DICENTIS Wireless discussion unit. It is neither a complete system alone nor the touchscreen DCNM-WDE variant.
Connections and components
Specify DCNM-WAP and compatible configuration. Plug-in microphone and battery are ordered separately; identify DCNM-HDMIC, MICS or MICL for the use, plus approved battery and charging.
Delegates with organized speaking turns
Agree chairperson, speech requests and listening. Prepare station roles and meeting mode, and an audio feed to room sound or recording over the documented path.
Proposal options
- Initial option: Wireless discussion stations and microphones suited to the table.
- Expand the scope: Role configuration, charging, coverage/audio tests and operator.
- Another alternative: Wired discussion or shared microphones if the setup allows.
- For a quote: Date, table plan, participants, turns, destinations and existing infrastructure.
Prepare before the event
- Check references, battery, microphone, charger and version.
- Place and configure WAP using the manual and regional conditions.
- Rehearse roles, requests, priority and agreed mute.
- Test every station and final output; prepare replacements and recovery.
Questions and answers
Are microphone and battery included?
The manufacturer specifies separate ordering. List both, charging, access point, power and preparation in the proposal.
Are WD and WDE equivalent?
No. WDE adds a screen and other functions. For identification, voting or languages, check exact model, licenses and support rather than assigning them to standard WD.
Why does a unit not connect?
Record indicators, battery, version and registration settings. Compare a known working station without removing security or restarting the active system.
Does a speech request mean an open microphone?
It depends on the agreed role and mode. Test request and authorization from the station and chair; explain indicators to participants.
Can it provide recording or remote audio?
Prepare the system output and interface rather than connecting by port appearance. Check levels, recording and remote return separately.
How do we prepare a long session?
Plan stations, replacements, precharging and distribution responsibility. Check actual condition; do not promise a full day from nominal runtime.
