Prudential Center, Newark: rigging, load-in and technical review N110 | https://glmedia.tech/technical-help/prudential-center-newark-rigging-carga/ Prudential Center is at 25 Lafayette Street in Newark, New Jersey. This guide organizes production advance for the arena using a venue packet distributed by ArenaNetwork; it does not cover Boston’s Prudential complex or the Hockey House. The file is named 2022 Production Guide, and its labor table retains a 2021 date. A current link does not certify a current revision: request applicable documents, project acceptance and availability before committing to equipment, labor or power. Which document helps advance this arena? The current website confirms the venue and space rentals. The ArenaNetwork guide addresses production; commercial capacities, seating plans and guest policies serve different purposes. The link’s folder date does not certify a technical update either. Agree on the revision number, applicable drawings, responsible parties and contract with venue production. Use this material to frame questions without assuming services, equipment or approvals have been secured. How should docks, doors and the freight elevator be advanced? Page 25 distinguishes production docks, the ramp and building uses. Dimensions are references from a dated document; they do not establish clear openings or availability for your schedule. The exterior door and the arena entrance are separate route segments. Request an accepted route showing widths, heights, turns, slopes, levelers and traffic restrictions. For the freight elevator, verify total load, usable cab, door, operator and wheel loads; do not infer cab height from a plan dimension. Segment / source p. 25 | Published reference | What to confirm Docks and ramp | Bays 1–4; ramp at Bay 5. | Assignments and load-in windows. Exterior door | 16 ft high × 18 ft wide. | Clearance and exterior maneuvering. Backstage-left entrance | 18 ft × 20 ft. | Dimension orientation and clear opening. Freight elevator | 9 ft × 20 ft; 15,000 lb. | Cab, door and approved total load. What remains to be verified in the rigging plan? Page 20 distinguishes center-stage and end-stage configurations; its totals are neither per-point WLLs nor capacity reserved for your show. The T3.2 line contains a 20 lb figure requiring written clarification: do not correct or extrapolate it. Request current CAD and load tables, dead loads, combined loads, reactions, obstructions and scoreboard position. Venue production and engineering must accept points, motors, access and rescue procedures before suspension. A reduced drawing does not replace that review. How do floor loading, stage decks and ice protection differ? Page 21 lists 600 PSF for the main floor and 4,000 lb per 4 ft × 8 ft deck as separate references. Do not combine them to determine a leg, wheel or deck capacity without the conditions, supports and load distribution. Request current limits for uniform and concentrated loads, wheel reactions, ice protection and forklift routes. Bases, spreader plates and work sequence require project review; audience area and stage dimensions do not establish structural capacity. How should mains and branch circuits be read without adding ratings? Pages 21–22 show branches and mains, including a shared stage-right supply. The table retains labels from the old diagram, rather than offering simultaneous current. Reconcile the text, diagram and circuits actually assigned. The packet specifies 208Y/120 V and boxes accepting male Camlocks. Confirm connectors, neutral/ground, protection, demand, phases and connection responsibilities with the electrical lead. A nominal drawing distance neither sets cable length nor authorizes a tie-in. Area / pp. 21–22 | Labeled main | Unresolved scope Stage left | 1000 A main. | Branches and available demand. Stage right / downstage right | Shared 1600 A main. | Stage and FOH distribution. Catwalk | 800 A main. | Assigned circuits and routing. Loading dock | 1200 A main. | Availability and authorized use. How should the scoreboard, LED, audio and communications be coordinated? Page 15 describes Rock Vision and a 70 ft position with the scoreboard fully retracted; this is not touring clearance. Its content formats are historical references. Request current templates, available zones, programming, screen rights and a complete test before producing final files. Pages 23 and 26 describe communications and connectivity options. Confirm audio/intercom patches, tour integration, dedicated bandwidth, ports, schedules and support. Advertised Wi-Fi does not guarantee a transmission link or included services. What should be agreed for labor, inventory and terms? Page 24 names IATSE Local 21 and rates dated 2021. Confirm the current agreement, jurisdictions, staffing, minimums, breaks and estimate. The old list establishes neither general exclusivity nor authorization for outside operators. Pages 21 and 28 list equipment and services; the packet flags availability and the absence of an upstage black curtain. Verify reservations, operation, rentals and contractual responsibility. Do not treat historical inventory as included equipment. What needs acceptance before production is committed? Build a pending-items matrix for document revision, rig plot, floor loading, load-in, power, systems, labor, schedule, insurance and owners. Identify venue approvals, organizer responsibilities and terms that belong in the contract. If the design uses haze, pyrotechnics or other effects, request current venue and authority requirements. This packet does not validate permits, alarm intervention or approval deadlines. As a technical recommendation, test signals and content using the agreed setup. Does ArenaNetwork’s current link make the whole packet current? No. The filename indicates 2022, and some labor terms date to 2021. The venue must confirm the applicable technical and contractual revision. Can I add branch ratings to reserve power? No. Main ratings and shared supplies constrain distribution. Request available demand and the circuits assigned to the project. Does audience capacity or a uniform load limit authorize any setup? No. Review reactions, concentrated loads, floor, rigging and the route for the actual design, with acceptance from the responsible parties. Sources reviewed October 23, 2026. ArenaNetwork distributes the venue-authored packet under a 2022 filename; page 24 dates labor rates to 2021. Current identity and commercial offerings do not certify those terms as current.
